To lose weight you were always advised to ditch high-calorie foods, but now the practice is no longer popular as it was earlier. Now low-calorie food seems dissatisfying and the trend in dietary is changing.
In the change in chart the dieters are now opting for such foods which are high in fiber and also made of natural ingredients. Some people are also considering eating food with more protein or fat even though they know these contain more calories.
The bottom line of the change in trend is to lose weight without feeling deprived. People are even going for healthier and non-processed food. This habit is now catching up on some of the popular weight-watching food and drinks too.
Brands like Special K, Lean Cuisine and Diet Coke have witnessed significant decline in sales of their reduced caloric products.
According to market research firm IRI, the sales of Nestle’s Lean Cuisine declined by 27 percent in past four years and that of Kellogg’s Special K cereal dropped by 7 percent.

Similarly, Beverage Digest writes sales of Diet Pepsi and Diet Coke declined about 7 percent last
year.

To keep up pace with the shifting trend the Kellogg has rolled out Special K Nourish product that contain grams which are considered healthy. Similarly Nestle also has introduced Honestly Good that contain natural ingredients.
