We've been following her weight loss journey for months.
Shannon Coker has polycystic ovarian syndrome.
She's struggled to lose weight, until recently, when a local doctor gave her the tools she needed.
At six months she has lost 64 pounds.
This past month, she lost around four.
"There certainly is that level of excitement and thankfulness that I did lose weight, there is a larger percent of me that is disappointed," she said.
It was a tough month with the holiday and other factors, including tearing her meniscus in her right knee.
Her doctor, Steven Foley, specializes in treating women with polycystic ovarian syndrome.
He says Shannon's weight loss is well over the average.
Women with PCOS have trouble losing weight because of insulin resistance, which basically tells your body it's starving.
"Everybody wants to lose it fast, nobody gained it fast, most people gain their weight over time and what you really don't want to do is lose your weight and then gain it back so learning how to do things differently and learning how to do life differently, eat differently, all those things will help you lose it and keep it off," said Dr. Foley....
