10 more reasons for healthy lifestyle

It’s surely no secret to most people that being overweight or obese can lead to health problems such as diabetes, heart disease and stroke.
Now new research from the United Kingdom reports that those with a higher body mass index (BMI) are at greater risk of developing 10 of the most common types of cancer.
The study involving five million adults found that each five-kg/m? increase in BMI showed clear links with higher risk of cancers of the uterus (a 62 per cent increase), gallbladder (31 per cent increase), kidney (25 per cent increase), cervix (10 per cent increase), thyroid (nine per cent increase), and leukemia (nine per cent increase). A higher BMI also raised the overall risk of liver, colon, ovarian and breast cancers.
