Are You Making These Weight Loss Mistakes?



Are you doing all the “right” things, yet you’re still not able to lose weight? Here are some common weight loss mistakes.

You’re on a diet.
Diets don’t work. Statistics from the National Institutes of Health tell us that 98 percent of people who lose weight by “going on a diet” end up gaining it back within five years and 90 percent of those people gain back more weight than they lost. Diets can cause muscle loss, which lowers meta­bolic rate and makes weight loss harder. Plus, restrictive diets don’t help you make changes you can live with for very long, so you tend to give up or give in.

You’re not exercising effectively. 
The days of spending 30 minutes or more on the treadmill are gone. The same goes for doing the same exercises day in and day out. Studies show that less is more. Change up your routine by incorporating High Intensity Training and doing different strength training workouts weekly- preferably ones that are functional.
