Playing video games could help new mothers get back to their pre-pregnancy weight.
A study found that women rapidly shed their baby weight after exercising using active video games every other day for just three months.
The women, who had given birth in the previous year, lost an average of 11 lbs without leaving the comfort of their own living room.

Previous studies on ‘exergaming’ have produced mixed results.
But with weight retained from pregnancy posing a threat to the woman and any future child, and many new mothers finding it hard to fit in exercise, the latest research suggests it could be a cheap and effective alternative to the gym.
Eight new mothers used a Wii Fit console to mimic the movements of activities including jogging, yoga, skate boarding and hula hooping for 45 minutes three or four times a week.
At the start of the study, they were around 18lb heavier than before giving birth.
